One of the best summaries of typical Cilento cuisine. Excellent fresh products and traditional dishes, served in a sober and elegant setting, sheltered from the noise and crowds of the clubs on the coast. Highly recommended!

Fantastic traditional family restaurant. All produce is local and the passionate owners are keen to talk about where their produce comes from. There is an obvious love of the local area and a want to share local traditions with the tourists that are adventurous enough to leave the beach. Our waiter did not speak English however he made up for it in passion and we understood his multiple good-hearted and well-humoured attempts to get us to eat dessert, however after the huge cheese board (all local cheeses served with fig marmalade and other local preserves) and incredible pizza and Ravioli, we just couldnt manage it, but I'm sure it would have been delicious! The menu is a mixture of pasta, pizza and other dishes, with over 10 different pizzas to choose from. The wine and beer list is extensive and again a lot of it is locally sourced. During May it is only open Friday - Sunday 1900 - 2300. It is a restaurant that could put Ascea on the map in its own right and if we were staying for longer we would definitely go back - certainly one to make the effort to go to and one that a lot of 'local' restaurants should aspire to be like. Grazie!

We stopped there because the accommodation was close. We tasted 1 dish each, had a cannolo each and 1 drink each. 43 euros (with 2/cover/person). The ricotta ravioli and tomato sauce were very good as well as the anchovy pasta. The garnished canolo was also good.

THE CILENTAN COOKING TEACHER!The Chef has been an Italian teacher at secondary schools for over 30 years, together with her family they decided to revive an old ruin by transforming it into a spectacular restaurant with a superb view of the Gulf of Ascea. The internal rooms are an intelligent and very successful conservative renovation of great charm. Prof. Chef's cuisine has its roots in the Cilento area, valorising zero km products. Whether you decide to eat a plate of pasta starting from ziti alla "genovese di octopus" to homemade gnocchi passing through Cilento ravioli.... or pizza you will appreciate the mastery of the combinations. I went back three times in 9 days...

We wanted to eat Cilentan food and, coincidentally, whoever rented us the room had an agreement with the restaurant. The staff was helpful and courteous in giving us advice on what to order. We had the starter and the first course.....all plentiful so we were only able to add a sweet. We'll be back to try something else too.

A hidden gem but worth discovering! The first time I went I tried their cuisine and I was more than satisfied, genuine ingredients, fresh and cooked with simplicity and attention to detail. The second time, however, I tasted the pizza which, to my pleasant surprise, placed it on the podium of the best in Cilento, if not the best! Very light dough and slow food ingredients that not even the chicest pizzeria in Cilento would dream of putting on a pizza! Buffalo blue, Gioi cured meats, organic cacioricotta, bruised olives... even the tomato has a completely different flavour. all the best that Cilento offers in one place. Incredible

A delicious and very pleasant experience, excellent menu, not too many courses (synonymous with quality in products and raw materials), which was widely confirmed and surpassed in the dishes eaten. The bulk wine is also good, served in an ice bucket, so as to remain fresh. The price exceeded all our expectations, we spent 50 and ate: a first course and a second course, half a liter of white wine, a bottle of still water, a portion of chips, a focaccia, two coffees, a limoncello. Table service carried out in a very fast, professional and competent manner. Highly recommended, we will definitely return every time we come for our holidays in Ascea. Heartfelt congratulations for the management and the excellent local cuisine, at zero km.
